BATTERY STORAGE TECHNOLOGY ALREADY EXISTS - WE MAKE IT BIG

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY battery technology Has top PRIORITY

We rely on lithium iron phosphate cells (abbreviated as LFP or LiFePO4 cells). They consist exclusively of natural raw materials and contain no environmentally harmful acids or conflict substances.

By making a conscious decision to use cobalt-free cathode materials, we are ensuring environmentally friendly and conflict-free production.

In a study sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) classifies LFP as non-toxic and harmless.

We support the industry in its efforts to make efficient use of resources by actively promoting a circular economy.

"The transformation to a CO2-neutral circular economy is the greatest challenge and opportunity of our time. Our group of companies wants to make a contribution to making supply chains more sustainable and establishing a genuine circular economy. This also applies to GESI Giga Batteries."

LARGE BATTERY STORES ARE BETTER THAN HYDROGEN AND GAS POWER PLANTS TO COMPENSATE FOR SHORT-TERM VARIATIONS

Batteries act as large consumers when charging and thus relieve the load on grids without losing electricity. They can also deliver the required performance in a matter of seconds. Large gas turbines, on the other hand, take minutes to start up and shut down and are therefore much less flexible.

Hydrogen is also a storage medium, but is much less efficient to produce. It therefore shows its strengths in long-term storage. Large-scale battery storage systems are by far the best instrument for balancing out short-term fluctuations in solar and wind energy.
