With Maximilian Fichtner and Christof Wittwer, two leading scientists are joining the new committee.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Pullach, June 7. The guiding principle of “listen to the science” also applies to the energy transition. GESI Giga Batteries has therefore set up a scientific advisory board and recruited two professors for this task:<\/p>\n\n

Christof Wittwer<\/a> heads the System Integration business unit at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and is an honorary professor at the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Freiburg (teaching module Smart Grids).<\/p>\n\n

Maximilian Fichtner<\/a> is Professor of Solid State Chemistry and Managing Director of the Helmholtz Institute for Electrochemical Energy Storage in Ulm. He also heads the “Energy Storage Systems” department at the Institute of Nanotechnology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).<\/p>\n\n

“We are delighted that we have been able to attract two top-class personalities to our Scientific Advisory Board,” says GESI CEO Walter Raizner<\/a>. “For the energy transition, we need concepts that are based on sound scientific findings – and not on frivolous assumptions or hopeful values.”<\/p>\n\n
